European Debate Trainers’ Conference 2023

Presented by Argument Antrenament & DebateConsult, our conference on Friday 23rd of June will serve as a dynamic platform where debate trainers across Europe can share wisdom, forge impactful connections, and reaffirm our joint endeavor to make the world better through the power of structured dialogue and reasoning.

Workshop 1: Harnessing AI in Training

Speaker Spotlight: Introducing Nae Sovaiala, founder of Argument Antrenament and a staunch advocate for effective communication as a means of creating a better world. Nae has dedicated 12 years to teaching persuasive and rational communication. His achievements include co-founding the Romanian Association for Thinking and Oratory, serving as the Director of Training for the national Romanian debate association, and certifying Master Trainers for the International Debate Education Association. Nae’s passion for learning processes fuels his innovative approach to designing tailored plans that enable learners to become superior communicators.

🎯 Workshop Focus: Nae’s session, ‘Harnessing AI in Training’ invites us into the future of education technology. Ever wondered how generative AI can revolutionize your life as a commercial trainer? We’ll explore how tools like ChatGPT can assist with method brainstorming, knowledge crystallization, and create efficient knowledge audit mechanisms. Join us to delve into the untapped potential of AI in the realm of debate training.

Workshop 2: Customer Needs Analysis

⭐ ️ Speaker Spotlight: We’re thrilled to introduce Viacheslav Rudnytskyi, the co-founder of the Ukrainian debating NGO, New Vision. With over 12 years of experience running sales and biz-dev activities for Savvy, a leading soft skills business, he has a wealth of wisdom to share. An added bonus? You can ask Viacheslav anything about successfully managing a team in Ukraine during the war year and still making 2022 more profitable than the previous year.

🎯 Workshop Focus: One of our key sessions will revolve around ‘Customer Needs Analysis.’ Navigating the waters between clients’ expectations and their actual needs can be challenging. Often, traditional techniques such as SPIN sales may not completely align with the nuances of debate-related negotiations. In this workshop, we’ll explore a few alternative approaches that could be more effective for your teams.

Workshop 3: International Cooperation

⭐️ Speaker Spotlight: Meet Sarah Andiel, the dynamic founder and CEO of DebateConsult, a trailblazer in debate training. Sarah’s impressive track record includes successfully managing two Erasmus+ projects, supporting her national debate initiatives and building business relations with debating companies across the Netherlands, Estonia, and Romania.

🎯 Workshop Focus: In her session titled ‘International Cooperation’, Sarah will share her insights on the nuances of operating in the international debate training sphere. With the growing demand for specialized skills, collaboration between debate training companies across different countries has become increasingly viable. If you’ve considered working with partners who can engage customers in their native languages, this workshop is a must-attend. Together, we’ll delve into successful stories of international cooperation and explore what it takes to make such collaborations fruitful.
